Welcome to the Col Legno home page

Col Legno baroque ensemble is a New Jersey-based quartet specializing in music of the late seventeenth and early-to-mid eighteenth centuries. The ensemble includes:

• Jill Crawford (baroque flute)
• Stephen Berkelhammer (baroque oboes and recorders)
• Gavin Black (harpsichord and organ), and
• David Black (cello)

Col Legno's repertoire includes quartet, trio, duo, and solo works, making for a diverse and rich concert experience.

Col Legno is the Ensemble in Residence of the Princeton Early Keyboard Center.
